a. All candidates for Ph.D degree are required to carry out their research work under the guidance of ONE/TWO supervisors, to be appointed by the Academic Council or Dean, on its behalf, on recommendation of the Departmental Academic Committee (DAC). c. Principal Supervisors shall be regular faculty members of this University with a Ph.D degree, and Co-Supervisors shall be chosen from faculty members of this University with Ph.D degree or from Government Institutions/Universities/R&D Organizations/Industries with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.

e. The allocation of the Supervisor(s) for a selected student shall be decided by the Departmental Academic Committee in a formal manner depending on the number of students per faculty member, available specializations among the faculty supervisors, and the research interest of the student as indicated during the interview.
