ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION PROCEDURE 1.0 Eligibility for M.Sc. Programme: To be eligible for admission to the 02 years M.Sc. course, a student must have passed B.Sc./+3 Science with the proposed specialization as one of the subjects. For admission to the 2 year M.Sc. course, students who have completed all academic requirements of the B.Sc./+3 Science degree, but whose results are awaited are also eligible for provisional admission. Selection will be based on percentage of marks in the university examinations already completed. They must submit appropriate course completion certificate from the Head of the Institution, which they last attended, and copies of mark/grade sheets. 2.0 Selection: Admission to all courses of 02 years M.Sc. will be made in the Odd Semester of each session at the First Year level through an open selection process with academic career evaluation. The evaluation of candidates for the purpose of admission will be based on the following scheme: Career Marks will be computed as follows:
3.0 Provisional Admission: Candidates who have appeared in their final Examinations, but results have not been declared, may also be provisionally admitted to the 02 M.Sc. Programme if otherwise found suitable. However, they shall have to submit the final Mark sheet and pass certificate latest by 30th September 2025, failing which the provisional admission shall be cancelled. |

SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM The interested candidates have to fill the online application form using the link: https://eadmission.vssut.ac.in available in University website: www.vssut.ac.in. Candidates have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.200/- in case of SC/ST candidates) for completing online application. Filled in & signed copy of the online application form along with the relevant documents as mentioned below should reach Dean, PGS&R, VSSUT, Burla, Pin 768018, by 13.06.2025, 1 PM, through Speed / Regd. Post only. The envelope containing the application should be super scribed as “Application for 2-Yrs M.Sc. Programme in (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) - 2025”. |

DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED: 1. Hard copy of duly filled in and signed online application form. 2. Self-Attested copy of certificate of 10th / Equivalent Examination. 3. Self-Attested copy of certificate of +2 Sc. / Equivalent Examination. 4. Self-Attested copy of certificate of +3 Sc./B.Sc. / Equivalent Examination. 5. Self-Attested copy of Grade sheets / Mark sheets of the 10th / Equivalent Examination. 6. Self-Attested copy of Grade sheets / Mark sheets of the +2 Sc. / Equivalent Examination. 7. Self-Attested copy of Grade sheets / Mark sheets of +3 Sc. (B.Sc.) / Equivalent Examination. 8. Self-Attested copy of SC/ST caste certificate, if applicable. 9. The Candidates, who have not passed the final B.Sc./+3 Sc. Examination, but have already appeared the above examination, shall submit (upload) the following documents in place of documents mentioned in Sl. Nos. 4 and 7. (i) Final Appeared certificate of +3 Sc./B.Sc. Examination from the Head of institution in original. (ii) Grade Sheet/ Mark sheets of +3 Sc./B.Sc. Examination except final year duly authenticated by the Head of Institution. |

ADMISSION PROCEDURE: 1. Online application form along with other relevant documents will be scrutinized by the respective departments. 2. After departmental scrutiny, first merit list will be published in the University website. 3. Candidates will be called for Offline-Counselling-Cum Admission process based on their names in the merit list. 4. Those who fail to attend the Offline-Counselling-Cum Admission on specified date and time, will lose the claim over the seat. It will be presumed that the candidate is not interested to take admission at VSSUT. Hence the seat will be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list. |
